Wagon Week Website Design

Proposal

Create website for promotion and purchase of Wagon Week tickets (small 3-day Americana festival in Leeds), containing information on festival lineup, location etc.

Rationale:
(Why are you doing it? How does it fit with your own sense of development? What is your particular interest in this area?)

Interest in having web design as part of my skills as a practitioner.

Context:
(Where does the project fit in the real world?)

Will be used as official site for festival.

Brief:
(What exactly are you/is somebody else expecting you to do?)

Design and build website, with links to ticket buying sites (Crash records, See Tickets etc.), information on festival lineup, in keeping with current logo design/branding.

Audience
(Who is the work for)

People interested in festival/potential festival attendees.

Outcomes:
(What exactly will you have, or will have happened, at the end of your project?)

A easy to use, fully functional website.

Measures of success/evaluation strategy:
(How will you know how successful you have been? You can’t evaluate effectively unless you know what your aims were.)

Usability of site, clients happiness with finished product.

Research:
(What do you need to find out to help you deliver the project?)

Hosting space prices, how to use Adobe Dreamweaver/ exporting images from Photoshop to Dreamweaver.

Why is it live?
(How does it meet the live requirement of the brief?)

Client work, will be used as official site for festival.

Resources:
(What will you need at every step of the project? Physical space/people/hardware/software/money/transport are all resources to plan for.)

Access to Dreamweaver, Photoshop and internet. Online hosting space and domain name.
